JStream Shipping Anti Virus and Anti Spam Broadband Safety Router, Powered by Jungo's OpenRG Software Platform
TAIPEI, Taiwan and SAN JOSE, Calif., June 6, 2005JStream - a technology leading Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) (subsidiary of Kinpo), and Jungo Ltd., a leading provider of Residential, SOHO and SMB gateway software, joined forces to deliver an advanced security, anti-virus anti-spam router, with the best quality to price ratio. The newly introduced router is targeted at tier one Telcos selling to the residential and office users. The new router is already shipping in high volumes by a leading Japanese Telco.
In light of growing demand for tight security and advanced protection measurement, JStream has designed the router to securely guard broadband access for residential and office users. Upon activation of JStream's router powered by Jungo's OpenRG software platform the router's security mechanism will protect its users by performing anti-virus and anti-spam screening of emails. The router blocks viruses and spam before reaching the individual LAN PCs, providing higher level of security than PC based applications. Jungo's expertise in gateway software enabled Jstream to provide a wide range of security capabilities in a single box including firewall/VPN, intrusion detection and prevention, and anti-virus content filtering, anti-spam, and anti-spyware.
The anti-virus and anti-spam router enables unified protection at the router level to the entire network. Viruses and spam emails will not be able to reach the individual computers since they will be blocked out in advance. In addition, residential and business users will get enterprise level anti-virus and anti-spam protection, which is easy to use and maintain.
